  • Which one is best to start as a beginner ?

  • I’m not sure if anybody else has been completely let down by this feature. I asked it to copy the full documentation section of a website to a single HTML file. The agent browsed through all of the sections of the documentation. This seemed very promising, as did the text updates it displayed as it fulfilled the task. But in the end? I was sent a tiny “getting started” section of the documentation, despite the agent browsing all of the documentation pages. I pointed out the mistake, and it got back to work. I was sent the same HTML file. I sent it the HTML file to demonstrate the issue, and it acknowledged that and proceeded to send a “documentation” containing a brief summary of each section.

Seriously, I’ve been waiting for an agent that can do something like this. Once again, OpenAI has given me the bluest balls that ever blued. Their only worse product launch, in my view, was Sora.

  • I love to solo travel and have been in the habit of traveling twice a year to the western states of the USA for 4ish days to hike, meet people, learn about myself, explore cities, and eat local food. A travel buddy called me out when I talked about wanting to buy a house citing each trip probably costing $1000. At a min, it is probably $800 but I have only used airline miles, cut back on eating out at home, and try to stay in hostels. I’m also single with no GF expenses. The big expenses I imagine are the food ($20 a meal in major cities) and transportation. Being a gourmand, I don’t want to give up the food. What are some ways you cut costs?

    My ideas:

\- Travel with others to cut transportation/lodging in half if possible.

\- Possibly use busses to get to National Parks (Is no car a terrible idea)?

\- Start a part time side hustle to generate travel cash.

  • Calling all traders, coders, and especially math lovers.

Let’s approach trading profitability from first principles.

After 10 years of live trading, I’ve been thinking deeply about how to build a logic-based, probabilistic trading model — and finally have a clear problem statement.

📌 But before jumping into solutions, I want to ask:
Does this problem statement make sense?
If we solve it, does it logically lead to a profitable edge?

🧩 The Setup: 5 Variables and 2 Rules

We are trading in any liquid market: CFDs, stocks, crypto, etc.

    🎯 The 5 Variables:
    • X = Entry level
    • Y = Take profit level
    • Z = Stop loss level
    • P = Probability that price hits Y after X → P(Y | X)
    • L = Probability that price hits Z after X → P(Z | X)

    ✅ Rule 1:

    |X – Y| > |X – Z|
    → Ensures a Reward > Risk (R:R > 1)

    ✅ Rule 2:

    P(Y | X) > P(Z | X)
→ Ensures Target is statistically more likely than Stop

    🧠 The Problem Statement:

    Find combinations of (X, Y, Z, P, L) that satisfy Rule 1 and Rule 2.

If both are true, the setup has positive expected value:

    EV = P(Y | X) × |Y − X| − P(Z | X) × |X − Z| > 0

    That’s it — clean, testable, logic-based.

    Would love your thoughts.
    • Does this problem definition hold up mathematically?
    • Would solving this system — even partially — lead to a trading edge?

  • I’m starting an e-commerce clothing and swim line with my 1 co-founder. While I do want the business to be successful and profitable, I have very realistic standards of the margins that come with this niche. I am not as set on profit as much as I am building my dream brand, and pouring my love for my vision into my passion project. However, I do not want this to be an endeavor that ends up being a net negative and never breaking even. I happen to come from both a fashion AND tech background (model turned SaaS slinger) so I have a decent network that has already gave me a great edge entering into this. Webdev, branding/marketing, model & photographer friends etc. that are very helpful while we’re intending to bootstrap this ourselves (for as long as possible).

Brand and store owners, if you could go back to when you were first starting out, what would you do different? What is the biggest piece of advice you could give me? What do you wish you knew then that you know now?

Super appreciative of any guidance or advice. We just hit the 8 month mark until launch, so everything now counts. 🙏🏼
