• For anyone not working with deep-pocket clients — what’s been surprisingly effective for building links when you don’t have a budget for paid placements or large-scale outreach?

    I’m working on two sites where the content is solid, but authority is holding us back. Paid guest posts and link inserts are off the table, so I’m testing a few grassroots things — content repurposing, Reddit and Quora drops, niche directories, etc.

    Curious what’s been working for others who’ve been in the same boat — not looking for tools or freebies, just want to hear what creative stuff’s moving the needle lately.

    This initiative is another step in a broader series of efforts from Uber to improve safety and user experience. It’s an exciting development that other ride-hailing services could potentially follow, creating industry-wide enhancements in safety standards.

    In an era where user experience and security are more important than ever, Uber’s approach to enhancing these aspects speaks volumes. By empowering women through choice, the company is building a more secure and inclusive platform for riders and drivers alike.

    So, while Uber prepares to launch this feature, it’s certainly a move that promises to widen the appeal of using rideshare services and potentially set a new norm in the industry. Next time you’re about to book a ride, check for this update—it might make all the difference in your riding experience.

  • My assumption is that success comes from either being the fastest to update quotes or having the most accurate pricing models (vol surfaces, Greeks, etc.). Is that roughly right?

    A few specific questions:

    * If you’re a researcher at a speed-focused OMM, what are you actually working on?
    * How do slower firms stay competitive — by focusing on niche products, better hedging, or client flow?

    Would appreciate any perspective from people in the space

  • Has any one had any restrictions/limits applied since Ahrefs switched back to unlimited credits?

    Currently on a legacy plan which is on credits, but we need to collect a lot more data via keyword explorer. I’ve run some numbers and to purchase enough credits to do this each month would cost an additional $1200 pm. If we upgraded from legacy to new plan with unlimited credits, it’s only an additional $115 pm.

    However, ahrefs state credits are ‘unlimited **fair usage**’ and wondering if using up approx. 20,000 worth of credits pm would get pulled up for not being fair use.

    We aren’t scarping the data or anything similar, just requesting updates to 1000s of KWs each week.

  • Hi r/SEO,

    I work at a company that invested a lot of time and $ in upgrading their website at the beginning of the year, and the site looks and seems to function much, much better. We are in the mid-market and enterprise B2B SaaS and hardware space.

    The agency we worked with to redesign and republish the site was very skilled, but now we are looking to move on to SEO and trying to figure out where to start.

    **Tech stack:**

    * Webflow + Webflow CMS for hosting
    * SurferSEO for content assistance
    * Ahrefs

    **Basic data from ahrefs:**

    * DR: 26 (competitors are in the mid- to high-40s)
    * Referring domains: 90 (competitors are much, much higher – typically hundreds)
    * Total visitors: 1.7K
    * Organic Traffic: 261

    When we look at our competitors and their data (at least on ahrefs), we seem way behind.

    We started reworking some pages (8 of about 90 or so) using Surfer and within a few weeks, GSC shows our traffic increasing, so this seems like a good sign. But there are tons of pages to work on and we’re not sure if we should keep going with it internally or hire in a consultant to help to help us develop a good strategy to work through this and understand if we are missing anything.

    So for all the experts out there, the question is this — where do we start? what will generate the most results the fastest? It seems like we can keep working with Surfer to update our internal content, but we haven’t even started thinking about off-site SEO / backlinks and the myriad other facets to this.

    Thanks!

  • Attention new and aspiring quants! We get a lot of threads about the simple education stuff (which college? which masters?), early career advice (is this a good first job? who should I apply to?), the hiring process, interviews (what are they like? • 149,673,860,000 gas used on July 21, 2025 – the most ever recorded in a single day.

    Let’s break down what this means 👇

    **Gas is the fuel that powers Ethereum.**

    Each smart contract interaction, NFT mint, staking, DEX trade, and stablecoin transfer, it all consumes gas.

    So, this chart doesn’t just measure activity. It reflects real usage, demand, and adoption.

    **Gas usage has been steadily rising since Ethereum launched in 2015.**
    From just a few million gas/ per day in early years → To over **149 billion** now.

    And, as we see this growth is sustained and organic.

    **This milestone shows one thing clearly:**
    Ethereum is thriving. More apps, more users, more real-world value flowing onchain.

    And this record? It’s just the beginning of a seamless journey.

  • I’m planning to visit Italy for around 7 days starting from the 13th or 14th of November. However, based on what I’ve found, it seems that visiting Italy in November might not be a great idea, and I’m a bit worried about it.

    I read that many restaurants and attractions may be closed during this time, and that November tends to have quite a lot of rainy days.

    Could you please tell me what Italy is really like in November? It would be very helpful if you could share some photos of Italy or the Dolomites during that month as well.
